FROM THE BOLINAS-STINSON SCHOOL: School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, October 11. All the information we have indicates that power will not be restored to the district until late tomorrow afternoon.
FROM THE BOLINAS-STINSON SCHOOL: There has been no update from PG&E regarding restoration. We will continue to monitor notices from Marin OES, Marin Office of Education and PG&E. Thank you for your patience.
FROM BOLINAS-STINSON SCHOOL: We have just received an planned power shutdown update from PG&E via Marin OES. Marin County was given an "all clear " for re-energization and visual inspections of power lines and vegetation have begun and must be completed before power is restored. They hope to have an estimate for restoration by 5:30 this afternoon. Bolinas-Stinson School will post any update when we receive it. We plan to re-open school if power is restored before the start of the school day on Friday. Please watch this space.

We have been informed that due to high winds and extreme fire danger PG&E will keep power off until further notice probably through Thursday. Power in Bolinas and Stinson Beach will continue until further notice. No estimate as to when power will be restored is available. At approximately 5:00PM this evening we will post another update. Dear Bolinas-Stinson School Community:
Due to planned electrical power outages in our area, Bolinas-Stinson School will not be open tomorrow, Wednesday, October 9. The outage is planned by PG&E for both Stinson Beach and Bolinas between midnight tonight and 4:00 tomorrow morning. The reason for this outage is high winds and dry conditions that can cause wild fires. We will communicate via multiple channels including text, app notifications and e-mail to keep you updated as to when school will re-open. Please have battery operated radio ready to get information from KGO 810AM or KCBS, 740AM as the school may not be able to communicate directly with you.
We know that events like this are a major inconvenience for our families and employees and we regret having to make this decision. Thank you so much for your patience.

Please join us for a fun day at Shell Beach tomorrow! Buses will be leaving the Bolinas campus at 10:00 AM and should arrive at Shell Beach by 10:30. Buses will return at 2:00 and we should arrive back at the Bolinas Campus by 2:30. If you wish to pick your child up early, please sign them out with their teacher. See you there!
Important Bus Update: Tomorrow, Friday, October 4th, will be a regular Friday bus run in the morning for both campuses. K-1st grade will be starting at the Stinson Campus at 8:40 AM and 2nd-8th grade will be starting at the Bolinas Campus at 8:25. All students will be dismissed at 3:00 from the Bolinas Campus with regular afternoon bus runs.
Tonight! Let your child be your guide at our first ever Bolinas-Stinson Tour-to-Learn Night! All grades, Pre-K-8th will gather together on the Bolinas Campus, Thursday, September 26th, 6:30-8:00 PM. Pizza and salad will be served in back by the cob oven (free). Bring your own plates, cups,& utensils to help our environment. Keep your eyes open for our famous dessert table (proceeds will benefit the Bolinas-Stinson Parent Group). 7:00-8:00 PM Families will be invited to tour the campus with students as tour guides. Art shops, specialists, and homeroom teachers will have activities for students/families to get a sample of what they are learning in school! See you there!

Join us for the next All School Assembly this Wednesday, September 25th, at 8:25 AM, in the Bolinas Campus Quesada. Our 3rd and 4th graders have been working on a presentation about composting as well as a short skit focusing on “No One Eats Alone.” See you there!
