The Bolinas-Stinson Union School District is looking for one parent and one community member to serve on our Budget Advisory Committee (BAC).
The BAC meets at least quarterly to review the district’s budget, multiyear projections and spending priorities, and to advise the Superintendent. Members include district administrators, two Trustees, and representatives of our employee groups and the school Foundation. The committee is advisory; the Board of Trustees makes all final budget decisions.
Parent and community members bring the perspective of the families and neighbors our school serves. That perspective helps the district weigh priorities and tradeoffs as we plan our budget. No finance background is required, just curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to the whole district.
The Board of Trustees will review applications and appoint one parent and one community member at its November 10 board meeting. Applications are due at noon on November 4.
