Dear Bolinas-Stinson School Community,

Please see the press release, below. The County Department of Finance/Assessor’s Office caught an error in printing the parcel tax payments for Bolinas and Stinson property owners and is sending a corrected bill to all applicable households. This means households will now receive two bills. Please know that the second bill (for a slightly larger amount) is the correct bill, and disregard the first one.

These funds greatly benefit our District and fund our vital arts and enrichment/athletics programs. We are very grateful to the Stinson Beach and Bolinas communities for investing in our children!

Leo Kostelnik, BSUSD Superintendent

Marin County to Issue Revised Tax Bills for School District Direct Charge Revision

Marin County, CA-  Miller Creek and Bolinas School Districts notified the County of Marin of updated direct charge rates for the 2026–27 property tax bills. The updated rates were received after the tax bills had been prepared and therefore could not be reflected on the tax bills mailed September 30th.

The Marin County Department of Finance, Tax Collector’s Office, is working to issue revised bills for the affected parcels. Approximately 5,650 bills are affected.

The revised bills will reflect an increase of $17.34 for each affected Miller Creek parcel and $11.70 for each affected Bolinas parcel.

Taxpayers are encouraged to pay their bill online at www.marincounty.gov/taxbillonline, where the correct updated amounts are already reflected.
