Position Announcement: School Crossing Guard
Bolinas Campus, Monday to Friday (Morning hours 8 to 8:30; Afternoon hours 3 to 3:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday; 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Wednesday during the school year.
Hourly pay: $ 24.03 to $ 26.51
Duties:
Supervises and protects the health and safety of students while on duty.
Keeps students on sidewalks or designated waiting areas until it is safe to cross streets.
Directs vehicular traffic to stop while students are in the crosswalks.
Applies appropriate knowledge of traffic laws, particularly in the use of proper and clear signals, physical and oral, to both pedestrians and vehicular traffic.
Performs related work as required.
Wears appropriate crossing guard vest/uniform while on duty.
The selected applicant will be fingerprinted (at the District’s expense) and participate in required training.
