Annual Giving Through Youth Assembly ~ Thank You West Marin Fund & Volunteers
Our students have participated in the Giving Through Youth Program for the last ten years. This special program is run by volunteers Harriet Kossman and Elaine Doss and funded by the West Marin Fund. It focuses on supporting the health and well-being of all who live and work in coastal West Marin. The Giving Through Youth Program seeks to expand the idea of philanthropic giving by engaging students to think critically about how they can make a difference in the West Marin community by choosing a local non-profit organization to receive a generous donation.
Last Friday, we held our annual Giving Through Youth Assembly. Our middle school students worked with ML (Humanities teacher) to choose a non-profit organization in West Marin they felt was worthy of a $1000.00 grant. The students researched, interviewed, wrote heartfelt essays, and pitched their cause to their peers. The students then voted and chose the following non-profit organizations to receive a $1000.00 donation from the West Marin Fund.
6th Grader, Orion Springer-Lich and Marilyn Lopez Bat promoted and presented the donation to Leilani Fraser for the Bolinas Community Land Trust.
7th Grader, Indigo Carducci promoted and Jimmena Bat presented the donation to Cathy Richards for the West Marin Scholarship Fund Program.
8th Grader, Jordan Martinelli promoted and presented the award to ML on behalf of the Marin Agricultural Land Trust, who was not able to send a representative to the assembly, but were very thankful to the students for choosing them to receive the donation.

End of the year Memories & Activities
Thank you for another amazing year at the Bolinas-Stinson School! Each year gets better and better with amazing memories of field trips, assemblies, family events and more. None of this could happen without the close partnership between staff, parents, community partners, and of course our students. Heart’s Desire Beach School Field Trip, Monday, June 12th, All Are Welcome!
Get ready, two more fun filled days of school until summer break! Monday, June 12th will be our Pre-K-7th grade school field trip to Heart's Desire Beach. I hope you are able to join us as we celebrate a fantastic year together with a little fun in the sun (hopefully). Parking is limited, so carpooling is recommended.
Eighth Grade Graduation Ceremony, Tuesday, June 13th, All Are Welcome!
We will be hosting our 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, June 13th from 10:00-11:00 AM. Following the ceremony, Graduates, their families, and staff will be treated to a special luncheon. All other students will have an early snack and lunch. All students will be dismissed from the Bolinas Campus at 12:30 PM and we will have an early bus run. Bus schedule below:

Here is a sneak peek at our 2023-2024 BSUSD Calendar for next year. The first day of school will be on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
