Dear Bolinas-Stinson Families,
It has been a flurry of activity to get up and running for our first week back at school! I have heard from teachers, parents, and students how nice it was to be able to check in face-to-face (with masks) and make in-person contact (even at a distance). I fully understand how hard it is right now for our kids not being able to come back to start the year learning in person.
Hopefully, we are moving closer towards the goal of full-in person learning, when we are allowed to do so. I am eagerly awaiting the latest information from MCOE regarding guidance from the state and our local health department. John and I will share any information we receive to keep you informed as things develop.
Principal Zoom Sessions ~ Next week
During a parent zoom session earlier this week, I was unable to definitively answer many of the questions that parents had about cohort groupings and in person learning. This was frustrating for both the parents and me. For this reason, I postponed my grade level parent zoom sessions until next week, in anticipation of new information from MCOE and the Marin Health Department. I am sorry for any confusion and look forward to having more substantial information to share with you next week. I have also invited teachers to participate in these meetings to answer any classroom questions you may have. Below is a schedule of my Parent Group Zoom meetings next week. I will be sending out individual group Zoom invitations soon:

Connectivity Update
We have a team working hard to get our BSUSD family’s connectivity issues resolved. They are creating a master list of family needs and prioritizing hot spots. If your family needs help with this, please take a moment to email Grace Godino at graceg@bolinas-stinson.org, with the following information:
Do you have internet access?
If so, who is your internet service provider?
Do you have a cell phone that operates at your location?
If so, who is your cell phone carrier? For example: Verizon, ATT
What trouble are you experiencing? For example: Zoom calls are dropping.
What grade levels are your children?
Back to School Nights - Yes, they are still happening virtually!
I am working with teachers to schedule back to school nights. We know that many families have multiple children and will try to stagger them as much as possible. We will be sharing a schedule with you next week.
